Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer with extensive experience in the Ignition platform. This role focuses on leading the architecture, development, and engineering of scalable SCADA solutions within industrial environments.

You will be instrumental in driving robust, production-grade implementations and mentoring engineering teams. The position requires a hands-on technical leader committed to innovation and excellence in SCADA technology.

Spearhead the complete lifecycle of SCADA solution design and development using the Ignition platform.

Develop and optimize Ignition applications (Vision, Perspective) for enhanced scalability, performance, and security.

Establish and enforce best practices for gateway architecture, tag structures, UDTs, and scripting.

Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs and other industrial equipment via OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, Kepware, and common protocols.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering skill development and collaboration.

A minimum of 6 years of overall professional experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to hands-on work with Ignition SCADA.

Demonstrated deep expertise in Ignition's capabilities, including Vision, Perspective, gateway architecture, scripting, security protocols, and performance tuning.

Solid understanding of industrial automation principles, PLC operations, ISA 88/95 standards, and relevant communication protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, and Kepware.

Proven experience in full-stack development utilizing Python or Java, coupled with expertise in building API-driven architectures.
