This role offers the opportunity to shape groundbreaking hardware innovations. You'll contribute to advanced AI models and provide essential platforms for developers, impacting world-leading hyperscale computing initiatives, including TPUs and Vertex AI for Google Cloud.
Take ownership of the complete verification lifecycle, from detailed planning and test execution to coverage closure. Focus on achieving stringent AI/ML performance and accuracy goals. Develop robust constrained-random verification environments to identify corner-case bugs and guarantee the reliability of AI/ML workloads on Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) hardware.
Collaborate closely with design and verification engineers on active projects. Plan digital design block verification by thoroughly understanding specifications and engaging with design engineers to pinpoint critical verification scenarios. Lead and mentor chip engineers, manage task assignments, and conduct verification design/code reviews.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware verification languages like System Verilog/Specman, design verification methodologies, and chip design flows.
Demonstrate a proven track record in creating detailed chip or subsystem design verification strategies and plans. Possess experience leading design verification teams through the entire development cycle, from initial concept to final delivery. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering field with a focus on computer architecture, and extensive experience with various verification techniques and SOC projects.
