Design, validate, and support mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for both new products and ongoing engineering efforts. Apply core mechanical engineering principles and best practices to create robust, reliable, and compliant solutions.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Systems, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service, to achieve optimal technical outcomes. Engage in all stages of product development, from concept to post-launch support, ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks.
Conduct essential engineering analyses, calculations, and technical evaluations to inform design decisions. Develop and review comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs according to established standards. Plan and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) activities to confirm product performance and compliance.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, and New Product Introduction (NPI) is essential.
Proven experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies from inception through production is necessary. Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and iterative design is expected. You should have experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams on component development and manufacturing readiness.
Strong foundational knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, strength of materials, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and calculations, is crucial. Experience creating and reviewing engineering documentation, along with planning V&V activities, is required. Familiarity with structured product development processes, change management, and root cause analysis, combined with excellent analytical and communication skills, will ensure success in this multidisciplinary environment.
