Seeking a seasoned SAP IS-U Billing & Device Management Consultant with 7-8 years of dedicated experience. This full-time, onsite role in Kolkata focuses on driving robust SAP IS-U solutions within the utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in billing, device management, and seamless integration with other IS-U modules, playing a pivotal role in the entire project lifecycle from design to post-production support.

Key responsibilities include designing, configuring, and implementing SAP IS-U Billing and Device Management solutions end-to-end, particularly within the Meter-to-Cash (M2C) framework. This involves configuring billing master data, rates, schemas, and invoicing processes. You will also manage device management aspects, including technical master data, installations, replacements, and meter reading. A crucial part of the role is ensuring smooth integration between Device Management, Billing, Invoicing, FI-CA, and Customer Service, while actively resolving any billing or meter reading exceptions.

Further duties encompass participating in all phases of the project, from requirement gathering and solution design to functional specifications, configuration, testing, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with ABAP developers, support various testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression), and provide hypercare and production support. Analyzing production incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes are essential. The role also involves understanding utility business needs and translating them into effective SAP IS-U solutions, supporting data migration, and creating comprehensive documentation including process guides and test scenarios.

A minimum of 7-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U, with a strong emphasis on Billing and Device Management, is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the complete Meter-to-Cash (M2C) process. Comprehensive knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing, Device Management, Meter Reading, Installations, Contract Accounts, Contracts, Invoicing, and FI-CA integration is required.

Proficiency in SAP IS-U configuration and troubleshooting is expected, along with a good grasp of IS-U master data and technical master data. Familiarity with integration points between IS-U and FI/CO, CRM/Customer Service, and external systems is important. The ability to understand ABAP developments, user exits, BADIs, and custom enhancements from a functional standpoint is also necessary. Experience with interfaces/APIs and third-party systems in utility settings is advantageous. A B.TECH or BE degree is required for this role.
