Opportunity to join a dynamic team in Pune, focusing on critical Record to Report functions. This role is integral to managing cost and inventory activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and data integrity. You will play a key part in month-end close processes, cost analysis, and master data management.

This position offers a chance to enhance financial operations through meticulous cost accounting and inventory valuation. The focus is on maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with both US GAAP and internal company policies.

Oversee cost and inventory activities, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), freight accruals, and inventory reserves.Execute monthly close procedures for COGS and inventory valuation, ensuring sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliation and variance analysis.Maintain precise item costing data, cost components, and GL mappings, adhering to US GAAP and company policies.Manage various costing methods (Standard, Actual, Moving Average) and configure cost rollups.Validate and cleanse master data for items, BOMs, routings, and suppliers to guarantee accurate reporting.Develop insightful reports and dashboards on inventory health, gross margin, cost variances, and stockouts.Analyze inventory valuation and cost components to identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities.Support audits by providing necessary data and process explanations.Collaborate with IT/Analytics for data models and BI requirements.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and cost accounts.

Proven experience in cost and inventory accounting, with a strong understanding of financial principles.Proficiency in performing monthly close activities and reconciliations.Familiarity with US GAAP and internal accounting policies is essential.Experience managing different costing methods and cost rollups.Skills in master data validation and cleansing (items, BOMs, routings).Ability to develop and interpret financial reports and dashboards.Experience in conducting cost analysis and identifying optimization opportunities.Capability to support internal and external audits.Collaboration skills for working with IT/Analytics teams.Experience with balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and cost accounts is required.
