Define and own the end-to-end architecture for Rental and Digital platforms, encompassing backend services, APIs, and frontend integrations.

Design and implement cloud-native solutions using microservices, serverless, and distributed systems patterns. Establish and govern API-first design principles, ensuring seamless integration across systems via REST, GraphQL, and event streaming.

Lead the architecture for critical platform capabilities such as reservations, pricing engines, fleet systems, customer identity, and digital user experiences. Ensure all systems are built for high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance.

Define standards for security, compliance, and data governance. Collaborate closely with engineering teams through design and code reviews, providing hands-on technical guidance. Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks, aligning with the platform's strategic vision. Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with broader technology strategies. Leverage and promote AI-enabled development practices for system modernization and enhancement.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

We seek candidates with 10-15 years of extensive experience in software engineering and architecture, demonstrating a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems.

Strong expertise is expected in Java, Spring Boot, and backend architectures, alongside proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven systems. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is essential.

A solid understanding of system design principles, data modeling (SQL/NoSQL), and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ is crucial. Familiarity with frontend and mobile integration patterns, DevOps practices, containerization, and orchestration is also required.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills for influencing stakeholders, and experience in Agile/Scrum environments are vital. Familiarity with security best practices and enthusiasm for applying AI in architecture and development are highly valued.
