Lead technical ownership of Guidewire solutions across one or more domains as a Senior Guidewire Developer. This role emphasizes deep technical expertise, solution leadership, and operational accountability for stable, scalable, and compliant Guidewire platforms.

Beyond individual contributions, you will shape technical direction, ensure quality and reliability, guide engineering teams, and serve as the primary technical escalation point for assigned areas.

Take full ownership of technical designs and implementation for Guidewire solutions in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Digital Platforms. Lead solution design for complex, cross-module requirements, maximizing out-of-the-box Guidewire features and justifying customizations. Partner with architects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Provide technical leadership, govern solution designs and code for quality, and set engineering standards. Support planning and sequencing of complex initiatives, acting as the technical authority during trade-offs. Own integration architecture and quality, ensuring non-functional requirements like performance and scalability are met. Guide teams on cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and observability practices.

Lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents, driving permanent fixes and reducing defect leakage. Partner with ADM, QE, and SRE teams to enhance platform stability. Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define solution options, scopes, and translate technical concepts clearly.

Mentor intermediate and junior Guidewire Developers, fostering problem-solving skills and best practices. Drive the creation and adoption of reusable components and blueprints to reduce duplication and long-term costs.

A minimum of 3 years of dedicated Guidewire development experience is essential. You should possess strong expertise across multiple Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Jutro. Demonstrable experience with complex integrations and distributed systems is required.

Proven ability to manage technical delivery across multiple teams or modules is key. A solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and the regulatory context is also necessary. Experience owning production stability and operational outcomes, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, are crucial for success in this role.
