This role is based in Bengaluru and focuses on exploring the intersection of indirect taxes, particularly GST law, and technology. As a Deputy Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Indirect Tax (IDT) team, gaining exposure to various ERP platforms and tax engines, while developing a strong understanding of indirect tax laws and tax automation.

You will play a key role in understanding the evolution of GST and Customs law in India. A critical aspect of this role involves envisioning how technology can be utilized to simplify indirect tax touchpoints within business processes across trading, manufacturing, and service industries.

As a Deputy Manager in our Indirect Tax team, you will cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, consistently aiming to exceed expectations.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing potential IT products for indirect tax practitioners. Examples include tools for Input Tax Credit (ITC) matching and leakage identification, expense-ITC bifurcation, managing refunds, and tracking foreign trade policy schemes. You will also contribute to developing litigation trackers.

Collaborate with senior indirect tax professionals to understand their IT needs and compliance challenges. Work together to configure products and offerings that enhance efficiency and provide effective solutions to client problems.

Develop a strategic vision for how emerging technologies such as RPA, Blockchain, and AI can influence and transform the indirect tax practice, making it simpler and more efficient.

We are seeking a Deputy Manager with 4–6 years of experience in Indirect Taxation. A semi-qualified CA is also encouraged to apply.

Essential qualities include being a team player, possessing effective communication and presentation skills, and demonstrating persistence and persuasiveness.

Candidates should have a foundational understanding of GST law and its application in business contexts. Familiarity with technology and its potential impact on indirect tax processes is highly valued.
