Join our Global Trade Advisory (GTA) team as a Deputy Manager in Indirect Tax, based in Bengaluru. This role focuses on the intersection of indirect taxes, particularly GST law, and technology. You will collaborate with our Indirect Tax (IDT) team, gaining exposure to various ERP platforms and tax engines while deepening your understanding of indirect tax laws and tax automation.

We are seeking professionals who can ensure seamless and high-quality delivery of indirect tax solutions. This includes identifying opportunities with existing clients and supporting efforts to acquire new ones. The position offers a unique chance to leverage technology for more effective, simpler, and speedier indirect tax compliance, both internally for our professionals and externally for our clients.

As a Deputy Manager in Indirect Tax, you will build and maintain strong client and team relationships to exceed expectations. Explore the dynamic interplay between indirect taxes (especially GST) and technology within our IDT team. You will gain broad exposure to ERP and tax engine platforms, enhancing your familiarity with indirect tax laws and tax automation.

Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient delivery of indirect tax solutions, identifying opportunities with existing clients, and supporting new client acquisition. You will analyze the indirect tax compliance landscape and conceptualize technology-driven improvements for internal and external use. Understand the evolution of GST and Customs law in India, envisioning technology's role in simplifying indirect tax aspects of business processes for trading, manufacturing, and service sectors.

Your role will involve conceptualizing potential IT products for indirect tax practitioners, such as those for ITC management, refunds, and Foreign Trade Policy schemes. You will also ideate supply chain solutions to optimize GST/Customs duty costs and collaborate with senior professionals to understand their IT needs. Work on significant IDT assignments, enhancing delivery efficiency through technology solutions. Importantly, you will possess a vision for how emerging technologies like RPA, Blockchain, and AI can transform indirect tax practices.

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive experience in using technology within accounting and tax functions, either in industry or revenue services. Strong technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and effective communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.

Demonstrated persistence and persuasiveness will be key to success. While a CA qualification is desirable, a strong understanding of technology's application in tax is paramount. The role is based in Bengaluru, India, and requires a forward-thinking approach to leveraging technology in the indirect tax domain.
