As an AI Scientist within BCG X, you will collaborate closely with consulting teams, applying advanced analytics and AI methodologies to deliver exceptional value. You'll be instrumental in providing subject matter expertise and accelerated execution support for BCG's product teams, bridging the gap between complex operational challenges and practical, high-impact solutions. This role sits at the critical intersection of business strategy, operations, and technology.

Your role involves partnering with case teams to gather requirements, design, develop, and support analytic solutions tailored to client needs. You will provide technical guidance by leveraging your deep understanding of data analytics solutions and processes to build efficient, high-quality solutions.

Key responsibilities include structuring client problems, identifying value pools, defining improvement opportunities, and designing use cases across areas such as performance refinement, planning, optimization, emissions reduction, and operational excellence. You will also support client interviews, workshops, diagnostics, value sizing, business case development, roadmap definition, and change management activities.

Furthermore, you'll translate strategic priorities into clear solution requirements, ensuring digital tools align with measurable business outcomes. You will contribute to building reusable assets, industry perspectives, commercial materials, and delivery playbooks for BCG X. Deployment of AI solutions on client sites is expected, requiring regular travel.

We seek individuals with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as business analytics, statistics, economics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, or engineering. An advanced degree is preferred.

Candidates should possess 2-3 years of relevant industry experience in providing analytics solutions within a commercial setting. Prior experience in a global organization, particularly within a professional services firm in a data analytics role, is highly valued.

Essential technical skills include strong proficiency in statistics, data mining, and predictive modeling. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AutoML solutions is crucial. Proficiency in Python and SQL is a must, alongside experience with data management tools, ML deployment tools, data warehousing solutions, and version control systems like Git. Familiarity with GenAI tools is also expected.
