Design and maintain mainframe applications, actively participating in mainframe modernization initiatives. Engage in application assessment, discovery, roadmap development, and the modernization process. Work within an Agile methodology, collaborating effectively with vendor teams from IT, Operations, and Business stakeholders. Analyze business requirements to produce functional and minor development specifications. Code solutions that accurately meet business needs in a timely manner, adhering to and improving existing coding standards and best practices. Develop applications under an onshore-offshore model, approaching problems constructively and demonstrating strong technical and business leadership. Set an example for team members through hard work, client delivery focus, preparedness, organization, a positive attitude, and respect.

Must possess strong technical and business leadership skills with significant experience in Cobol, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2. Proficiency is required in version control tools (e.g., ENDEVOR, CHANGEMAN, ISPW, GIT) and scheduling tools (e.g., CA7, Control-M, OPC). Experience with Zos Connect, RESTful API integration, and mainframe development tools like IDz is essential, along with experience in MQ and DB2 stored procedures. You should be adept at creating/consuming data in relational databases (preferably DB2, SQL) and have experience in mainframe modernization strategies like Rewrite, Rehost, or Refactor, as well as data migration to cloud/on-prem solutions. Working experience in Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), Java, or Python is also required, alongside strong analytical skills to interpret business requirements and produce design documents.

Professionally, you must be detail-oriented, capable of delivering accurate work quickly, with excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities. Strong written and oral communication skills are mandatory. A genuine desire to understand and learn the domain is crucial. Secondary skills such as experience in PL/I, IMS, Hogan, Coolgen, Generative AI, microservices architecture, or cloud-based DevOps tools are advantageous.
