We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead to drive innovation within our Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology division. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical platform that powers our products and services, ensuring robust design, development, delivery, and ongoing support.

Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle for complex, multi-release projects, ensuring the highest quality of code and adherence to delivery timelines. Collaborate with product and client managers to translate business roadmaps into compelling capabilities that drive success. Mentor engineers, providing technical direction and guidance on intricate logic while actively participating in technical design and development. Champion best practices in software development and documentation, verifying designs against requirements and managing schedules effectively. Serve as an expert technical resource for design, simulation, and analysis. Foster talent development and manage team performance to cultivate a high-performance culture, ensuring the recruitment of top talent to meet evolving business needs.
A robust technological foundation is essential, complemented by advanced expertise in Java and its associated technology stack. We require a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Java EE and core Java (v1.8+). Strong leadership qualities are paramount. Experience with web service development, REST, and Service-Oriented Architecture is crucial. Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Architecture, and Application Integration is expected. Proficiency with development frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate, along with automated testing tools like JUnit and Mockito, is necessary. Familiarity with database design and SQL proficiency, along with working knowledge of Java Message Service (JMS) and Message Queues, is required. A solid understanding of the JVM Memory Model and Java Memory Management, along with experience in Unix/Linux environments, is vital. The ability to coordinate effectively with diverse internal and external groups, including offshore teams, infrastructure, and vendors, is key. Strong development skills, including translating technical designs into functional solutions, are a must. Candidates should be comfortable working in large team environments and possess a willingness to learn and adapt to modern technologies to meet business demands. A background involving strong problem-solving, system integration, infrastructure debugging, or system administration will be highly beneficial.
