EY GDS seeks a Senior Cloud-Native Application Engineering professional to architect, build, and manage microservices-based applications and intelligent enterprise solutions, with a primary focus on Google Cloud. This role involves modernizing applications using microservices, managed Kubernetes, modern UI frameworks, CI/CD automation, and GenAI capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud-native applications and containerized workloads on hyperscaler environments, with adaptability to Microsoft Azure as needed. The aim is to help clients establish scalable, resilient, and future-ready digital platforms.

Design and develop robust microservices applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native practices. Build engaging user interfaces with modern frameworks like ReactJS or Angular. Apply microservices principles for scalable and resilient architectures. Configure and manage container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes. Own the complete application and container lifecycle, from build to operation. Implement strong Google Cloud engineering practices, holding a relevant GCP certification. Develop reusable cloud-native solution patterns adaptable to Azure. Integrate GenAI capabilities for enhanced automation and insights. Design and support Agentic Solutions for workflow orchestration and automation. Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and embed intelligent automation. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues, escalating when necessary. Document technical knowledge and create reusable runbooks and SOPs. Contribute to peer reviews and knowledge sharing initiatives. Drive decision-making, optimize processes, and manage resources effectively to achieve team and organizational goals.

Possess 5+ years of hands-on experience in microservices, application modernization, and container platforms like Kubernetes. Demonstrate strong proficiency in developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot. Showcase working knowledge of modern UI frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, Vue, Flutter). Understand microservices architecture, API-led design, distributed patterns, and containerized deployments. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential. Solid understanding of application and container lifecycle management, including build, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Practical experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for builds, image management, and deployment. Hold a Professional or Practitioner-level Google Cloud certification with proven public cloud delivery experience. Awareness of multi-cloud deployment patterns and the ability to adapt architectures between Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Basic to working knowledge of relevant Microsoft Azure services is beneficial. Working knowledge of GenAI integration patterns for automation and intelligent workflows is required. Understanding of Agentic Solution patterns, including orchestration and task automation, is also necessary. Ability to collaborate effectively across application, platform, data, and AI teams is crucial. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and structured communication are key attributes.
