We seek a Senior FinOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team, focusing on multi-cloud financial management solutions. This role centers on core FinOps principles including cost visibility, allocation, budgeting, forecasting, optimization, and governance, with opportunities to explore AI applications in FinOps and token economics. This position is integral to our Multi Cloud career family, operating as a FinOps Subject Matter Expert. You will drive innovation in cloud financial management, collaborating with global clients to deliver impactful results. Your expertise will be key in transforming how organizations manage their cloud spend, ensuring efficiency and strategic alignment.

Take ownership of cloud cost visibility, data processing, normalization, tagging, allocation, and reporting across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Implement sophisticated Showback and chargeback models, including shared-cost allocation, account mapping, invoice reconciliation, and robust cost-data quality controls. Develop comprehensive budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, planning models, unit economics, and executive dashboards that align directly with business objectives. Lead anomaly detection and management initiatives, defining thresholds, alerts, root-cause analysis, ownership, corrective actions, and detailed reporting. Execute workload optimization strategies, focusing on rightsizing, eliminating idle resources, scheduling, storage and network enhancements, and architectural recommendations. Spearhead rate optimization efforts, encompassing reservations, savings plans, committed-use discounts, licensing, marketplace commitments, and coverage/utilization tracking. Establish FinOps policies, governance forums, KPIs, maturity assessments, optimization backlogs, and ensure accountability across engineering, finance, procurement, and product teams. Configure and manage native and third-party FinOps tools for seamless data integration, allocation, budgeting, forecasting, anomaly management, optimization, and workflow automation. Leverage AI for FinOps use cases such as natural-language cost analysis, predictive forecasting, anomaly triage, and recommendation summarization, always ensuring human validation. Support token economics by measuring, allocating, and optimizing AI consumption using metrics like cost per token, request, application, user, or business outcome.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or an equivalent qualification, coupled with 3–7 years of relevant industry experience and proven FinOps or cloud cost engineering delivery success. Possess strong, hands-on expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP infrastructure, understanding their billing constructs and native cost-management services; multi-cloud experience is highly valued. Demonstrate proven experience in cost allocation, Showback/chargeback implementation, budgeting, forecasting, anomaly management, unit economics, workload optimization, and rate optimization. Exhibit practical experience implementing or operating at least one third-party FinOps platform, covering data onboarding, business mapping, dashboard creation, budget/forecast management, and governance workflows. Showcase strong Python, SQL, REST API, and cloud-native CLI skills, with a track record of building cost data pipelines, reports, and auditable automation solutions. Proficiency with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tooling, integrated with CI/CD pipelines and policy controls, is essential. Familiarity with AI-powered FinOps capabilities such as forecasting, anomaly detection, and recommendation generation is a plus but not mandatory. Basic awareness of token economics and AI consumption cost drivers is desirable.
