We are seeking skilled Data Centre Operation Technicians to join Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL). This role is crucial for expanding AWS Cloud offerings and managing the world's largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure. With ongoing expansion of our data centers in India and globally for services like CloudFront, we need talented individuals to build and manage these vital facilities. As a Data Centre Operation Technician, you will be an integral part of the Operations team, focusing on the maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure. Your duties will include server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to emergent situations to maintain operational stability. You will serve as a primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external service partners.

Key responsibilities involve meeting SLAs for assigned trouble tickets, acting as the first line of support for hardware troubleshooting, and performing on-call duties. You will participate in data center operations, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities requiring infrastructure monitoring. Collaboration in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement is expected. You will also contribute to documentation through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives, with opportunities for more experienced technicians to mentor junior team members. This role requires physical activity, including lifting equipment up to 18kg and working in confined or elevated spaces while adhering to safety guidelines. A 24x7 shift rotation is part of this position.
