As a Data Centre Operation Technician, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and upkeep of critical data center infrastructure. Your duties will encompass server rack installation, hardware repairs, network issue troubleshooting, and responding effectively to operational disruptions. You will serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and external service partners, manage trouble tickets to meet service level agreements, and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.

This role involves participation in a 24x7 shift rotation, including on-call duties for scheduled maintenance and change management activities. You will contribute to metric analysis and goal achievement discussions in team meetings, and apply your knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, safety, and security. Documenting technical issues through root cause analysis and contributing to process improvements are also vital aspects of this position. More experienced technicians may mentor junior team members. The role has a physical component, requiring the ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg and work in various environments while adhering to safety guidelines.

We are seeking individuals with a foundation in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, along with experience in computer networking. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. While we value diverse experiences and encourage applications even if not all preferred qualifications are met, a proven ability to handle customer interactions during problem resolution and perform efficiently under pressure is advantageous.
