As a Data Centre Operation Technician, your primary duty is the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. This includes server rack installation, hardware break-fix across various components, and diagnosing network issues.

You will respond to critical situations impacting operational stability and serve as the initial point of contact for both internal teams like Network and Systems Engineers, and external partners such as hardware vendors and contractors. You will manage assigned trouble tickets, perform first-line hardware troubleshooting, and participate in 24x7 shift rotations, including on-call duties.

This role involves executing scheduled maintenance, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and potentially training junior team members. The position requires physical capabilities, including lifting equipment up to 18kg and working in confined or elevated spaces while strictly adhering to health and safety protocols.

A minimum of two years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair is essential.

Additionally, at least one year of experience in computer networking is required. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.

While not strictly required, experience in effectively handling customer interactions during problem resolution and performing efficiently under pressure is highly beneficial.
