As a Data Centre Operation Technician, you will be integral to the Operations team, focusing on the maintenance and upkeep of critical data center infrastructure. Your duties will include server rack installation, hardware break-fix on various components, and troubleshooting network issues. You will be the first point of contact for both internal teams and external service partners, addressing hardware and technical challenges.

Key responsibilities encompass responding to emergent situations impacting operational stability, meeting SLAs for trouble tickets, and performing on-call duties. You will participate in scheduled maintenance, change management activities, and team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement. Contributing to technical documentation through root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives is also expected. More experienced technicians may mentor junior team members.

This role requires a solid foundation in computer hardware and networking. You should have at least two years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, coupled with a minimum of one year in computer networking.

A high school diploma or equivalent is the baseline educational requirement. The position also involves physical demands, including the ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg, potentially working in confined or elevated spaces while strictly adhering to health and safety guidelines. This role operates on a 24x7 shift rotation basis. Experience in customer interaction during problem resolution and efficient operation under pressure is highly valued.
