As a Mechanical Service Engineer, you will be the primary technical resource for mechanical and HVAC systems within AWS data centers in India. Your duties will include hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response for critical infrastructure. Responsibilities encompass preventive maintenance of HVAC, chilled water, and fire safety systems, alongside generator system upkeep and non-destructive testing.
You will also manage risk assessment, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and coordinate with vendors for spare parts and procurement. Planning involves creating maintenance calendars, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and documenting equipment observations. Inventory management includes conducting spare parts audits to guarantee adequate availability.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC and controls. A minimum of three years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience is required. Preferred qualifications include two years of data center engineering experience and three years of operations and on-call support for critical facilities. Experience with electrical or mechanical journeyman licenses, operating engineering licenses (e.g., DC II, DC III), or in construction/project management is advantageous.
