Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global infrastructure. We ensure the continuous availability of cloud services by managing data centers and the complex equipment within them. You will be part of a collaborative, diverse team of engineers and specialists, working on challenging problems to deliver the highest standards of safety and security while optimizing costs.

This role focuses on critical infrastructure maintenance and operations within AWS data centers in India, specifically serving as the primary technical resource for mechanical and HVAC systems. It involves hands-on management, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response, requiring 24x7 on-call support and rotational shifts.

Take ownership of data center changes, events, incidents, and problems, ensuring thorough post-mortems and root cause analyses are completed. You will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance and repairs for site-critical facility infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business interests. Key duties include managing assets and inventory, developing and maintaining method statements, SOPs, emergency response procedures, and all technical documentation to ensure best-in-class operating practices.

Communicate operating philosophies and technical information effectively to internal teams and vendor management. Provide hands-on facility support as needed. During incidents and emergencies, you will review reports, document trends, and provide management with updates and recommended actions. You will manage information flow and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues, potentially requiring on-site dispatch. The role ensures safe and secure 24x7 shift operations without impacting availability.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical or mechanical fields. A strong understanding of data center operations, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response, is essential. You should be proficient in developing and maintaining technical documentation such as SOPs and method statements.

Additionally, 2+ years of data center engineering experience is preferred, along with knowledge of BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending. Experience in managing on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices and legislation, is also valued. The ability to troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs and perform rack installs/decommissioning is crucial. You will provide operational readings and KPIs, and oversee maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
