Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the backbone of the cloud, responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of our global data centers. We are seeking skilled Mechanical Service Engineers to manage critical infrastructure maintenance and operations. This role focuses on the hands-on management of mechanical and HVAC systems within AWS data centers in India, ensuring continuous uptime and optimal performance.

Your primary duties will encompass comprehensive maintenance and operational tasks for mechanical and HVAC systems. This includes performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on various AC units, managing chilled water systems, and maintaining fire safety and generator systems. You will also conduct non-destructive testing, ensure personnel safety through risk management protocols, and coordinate with vendors for procurement.

Furthermore, you will be involved in detailed planning and documentation, creating maintenance calendars, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tracking observations for cost-saving innovations. Inventory management, including spare parts audits and ensuring availability, is also a key responsibility. You will also facilitate technical training and manage work order approvals.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and controls. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical or mechanical fields is essential.

Candidates with 4+ years of data center engineering experience and familiarity with BMS and EPMS control systems, including data collection and trending, will be considered preferred. The position involves 24x7 on-call support and rotational shifts, requiring flexibility to adapt to site-specific needs. You will be responsible for on-site contractor management and ensuring adherence to all established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
