Seeking an experienced DBT/Snowflake Engineer with a strong background in data engineering and ETL processes. This offshore role focuses on leveraging DBT to build robust data models on Snowflake, ensuring data quality and efficient data transformation.

Ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of DBT concepts and have a proven track record in migrating and enhancing data pipelines. The position offers an opportunity to work on modern cloud data warehousing solutions and contribute to end-to-end data pipeline development.

Translate Informatica mappings and business rules into dbt SQL models on Snowflake. Design and implement staging, core, and mart layers using dbt. Develop and maintain dbt tests for data quality assurance. Implement snapshots, seeds, and macros for reusable components. Collaborate with Snowflake developers for optimal data structure performance. Ensure functional equivalence between legacy and new data outputs. Participate in dbt model and Snowflake query performance tuning. Integrate dbt with CI/CD pipelines for automation. Contribute to dbt model documentation and data lineage. Engage in defect analysis and bug fixes.

A minimum of 7 years in Data Engineering/ETL/DW, with at least 2 years specifically using dbt (Core or Cloud). Proficiency in SQL, particularly with Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses. Familiarity with dbt concepts: models, tests, sources, seeds, snapshots, macros, exposures. Experience with Informatica (developer-level understanding of mappings/workflows) is a significant advantage. Understanding of CI/CD practices and dbt pipeline integration. Knowledge of data modeling techniques, including dimensional models and SCDs. Experience working in offshore delivery environments with onshore coordination. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret existing ETL logic and documentation.
