We are seeking a skilled DBT/Snowflake Engineer with offshore development experience to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging dbt and Snowflake to build robust data solutions. You will be instrumental in migrating and transforming data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance.

Translate existing Informatica mappings and business rules into efficient dbt models within Snowflake, designing staging, core, and mart layers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive dbt tests to guarantee data integrity and quality. Implementing reusable components like snapshots, seeds, and macros will be a key part of your role. Collaboration with Snowflake developers and functional teams is essential to ensure seamless integration and functional equivalence. Performance tuning of dbt models and Snowflake queries, along with integrating dbt into CI/CD pipelines for automated workflows, are also critical responsibilities. Contributing to documentation and participating in defect analysis and bug fixing will round out your contributions.

A minimum of 7 years in Data Engineering/ETL/Data Warehousing is required, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud). Proficiency in SQL, particularly on Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses, is essential. A strong understanding of dbt concepts including models, tests, sources, seeds, snapshots, macros, and exposures is necessary. Prior experience with Informatica, particularly at a developer level understanding mappings and workflows, is highly desirable. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and integrating dbt into automated pipelines, along with knowledge of data modeling techniques, is expected. Experience in offshore delivery with onshore coordination and strong communication skills to interpret ETL logic and documentation are also key requirements.
