Lead the development and implementation of scalable, reliable, and high-performance database solutions aligned with organizational goals. Establish comprehensive database engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for development. This includes defining standards for data modeling, schema design, normalization, indexing, and optimization techniques.

Drive the architecture of scalable database systems for enterprise applications. Define enterprise standards for PL/SQL development, database programming, and data access optimization across various relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL Server. Additionally, establish architecture and governance standards for non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.

Spearhead enterprise-wide performance optimization and scalability initiatives. Define standards for database performance tuning, indexing, capacity planning, and optimization. Establish engineering practices for production database support, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous performance improvement. Conduct architecture reviews to ensure database solutions meet objectives for scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance. Guide teams on database architecture, data persistence strategies, performance engineering, and best practices for scalability.

Implement standards for database deployment automation, schema version control, and CI/CD practices to enhance release reliability. Identify and mitigate database risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to align database initiatives with organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement in database maturity, performance, scalability, and delivery excellence.

We are seeking a leader with mandatory expertise in Performance Tuning & Scalability, PL/SQL (including PL/SQL Packages), and PostgreSQL. Additional beneficial skills include Ansible.

Key responsibilities involve leading enterprise database engineering for scalable and high-performance solutions. You will be instrumental in establishing database engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across development teams. This includes defining standards for logical and physical data modeling, database schema design, normalization, denormalization, indexing strategies, and database optimization best practices.

You will lead the design of scalable database architectures supporting enterprise applications and data platforms, and define enterprise standards for PL/SQL development, database programming, and data access optimization. This role requires establishing relational database architecture standards across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL Server environments, alongside defining architecture and governance standards for non-relational database platforms.

Drive enterprise performance optimization and scalability initiatives, establishing standards for database performance tuning, indexing, capacity planning, and optimization.
