Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance database solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Establish robust database engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for development, including data modeling and optimization.

Define enterprise standards for PL/SQL development, database programming, and data access. Drive performance optimization and scalability initiatives across various database platforms, including relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server) and non-relational (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB).

Establish best practices for production database support, incident management, and continuous performance improvement. Conduct architecture reviews to ensure solutions meet objectives for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Guide teams on database architecture, performance engineering, and scalability strategies.

Implement standards for database deployment automation, schema version control, and CI/CD practices. Proactively identify database risks and bottlenecks, defining mitigation strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to align database initiatives with organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement in database maturity and delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Performance Tuning & Scalability, PL/SQL (including PL/SQL Packages), and PostgreSQL. Experience with Ansible for DevOps and Configuration Management is also required.

Key competencies include a deep understanding of Database Design & Data Modelling, Performance Tuning & Scalability, Oracle, PL/SQL Packages, and PostgreSQL. You should demonstrate leadership and accountability in driving engineering excellence, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
