Join our Global Data Center Operations team as an IT Database Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, operating, and continuously optimizing enterprise-grade database platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Your role is crucial in ensuring the performance, scalability, availability, and resilience of mission-critical workloads while contributing to global standards, automation, and operational excellence. You'll support 24/7 operations in a globally distributed environment and serve as an escalation point for complex incidents.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and operating diverse database platforms like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will manage and optimize AWS RDS deployments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience. Performing lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning, is essential. Developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code templates using tools like Terraform/CloudFormation and utilizing Ansible for configuration management will be integral to your role. You will also leverage GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and script operational tooling in Python. Supporting global initiatives, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents, and collaborating with various teams to deliver end-to-end infrastructure services are also key duties. Maintaining documentation and participating in on-call rotations are part of the operational model.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise database engineering or large-scale production operations. Essential technical skills include strong expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL, with a focus on performance tuning, replication, high availability, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, including automation and monitoring, is required. A solid understanding of high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and resilience design is necessary. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies (Terraform, CloudFormation) and strong practical experience with Ansible for automated configuration management are vital. Proficiency with GitLab, including CI/CD workflows, and strong Python scripting skills for operational tooling and automation are expected. Familiarity with security, compliance, and backup standards for enterprise databases is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, including fluent English, are required to effectively collaborate in globally distributed teams. A requirement of 15 years of full-time education is also stipulated.
