This role is integral to our centralized, global organization, which provides operational support for an integrated, SAP-centric platform (Mercury). You will play a key governance role, working closely with business stakeholders to maximize the value derived from our Mercury investment and shape its future technology roadmap.

The Business Efficiency and Evolution function focuses on setting strategic direction and standardizing processes through robust governance, portfolio planning, demand management, and identifying improvement opportunities aligned with business KPIs. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and standardization across our global operations.

As a Data Steward Technical, you will be responsible for implementing the firm's data management metrics and improvement strategies, supporting data advocacy, stewardship, and audit. This includes defining and implementing standards, guidelines, approved workflows, systems, and KPIs for key master data objects within the Mercury scope.

You will design, implement, and enhance automated solutions for data quality assessment, compliance metrics, and KPIs. Your responsibilities will extend to designing and implementing automated data profiling and the integration of internal and external data sources crucial for effective governance. Proactively identifying data governance opportunities and developing solutions to mitigate risks and improve efficiency will be key.

Facilitating accurate documentation of metadata, lineage, models, and other data lifecycle activities is essential. You will also produce key measurements to communicate governance performance, translate team priorities into actionable plans, and develop strong relationships across the organization to ensure the Data Governance function is credible and valued.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience, is required. You should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and/or governance within a global professional services firm, including system integration, data analytics, data warehousing, MDM, or BI solutions.

Demonstrated expertise in SAP Data Services, Information Steward Components (Data Insight, Metadata Management, Metapedia, Cleansing Package Builder, Match Review), SAP MDM/MDG, and advanced SQL is essential. A comprehensive understanding of data analytics solutions, data conversion, ERP and data warehouse models, data profiling techniques, ETL/data integration tools, MDM solutions, and the SDLC is also critical.

Strong leadership, consensus-building, and complex problem-solving skills are necessary. You should possess solid project management aptitude, the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, and a keen eye for detail in examining data and identifying root causes. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and occasional business travel may be required.
