We are seeking a skilled Data Senior Engineer to enhance our team in Pune, India. This role is crucial for maintaining and supporting our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of critical data processes.

In this role, you will provide essential L1 production support for data pipelines, ETL/ELT jobs, and scheduled data-processing workloads. Your duties will include monitoring production pipelines, jobs, alerts, and dashboards, with a specific focus on Apache Airflow DAGs. You'll perform initial investigations into pipeline failures using logs, execute operational procedures like restarts and reruns, and validate data loads into BigQuery. Basic data validation using SQL and initial analysis of Python errors will also be part of your responsibilities, along with creating and updating incident tickets and escalating complex issues effectively.

We are looking for candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, DataOps, application support, or production support. A fundamental understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google BigQuery, and basic SQL querying is essential. Familiarity with Apache Airflow, including its DAGs, tasks, and scheduling, is required, alongside basic Python skills for script interpretation and error analysis. A grasp of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, is necessary. The role demands adherence to operational procedures, effective escalation, and a willingness to participate in production support, including potential shift or on-call duties.
