Join our expanded team as a Data Migration Engineer, a crucial role focused on modernizing data workflows. This position offers the opportunity to work with complex data challenges and implement cutting-edge transformation techniques.

We are seeking individuals passionate about data engineering and eager to contribute to significant data migration projects. This role is integral to ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining high data quality standards.

Key responsibilities include assessing intricate Informatica workflows and translating them into equivalent Python EL scripts and dbt transformation models. You will develop and maintain Python EL pipelines for high-volume data ingestion, design and develop dbt transformation models using best practices, and create robust dbt-native and Python unit tests. Orchestrating these processes end-to-end using Airflow DAGs and contributing to GitLab CI/CD pipelines are also key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will perform peer code reviews, troubleshoot performance and data discrepancies, and contribute to technical documentation.

This role requires a strong understanding of data migration concepts and extensive experience with Python EL, dbt, and Airflow for orchestrating data pipelines. Proficiency with tools like SQLAlchemy, cx_Oracle, pyodbc, Oracle Data Pump, and SQL Server BCP is essential. Experience in designing dbt transformation models, implementing dbt best practices, and developing comprehensive testing strategies is expected. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD for automated testing and deployment, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues, is crucial. A knack for technical documentation is also valued.
