Seeking a seasoned QA / Test Engineer to provide expert quality assurance for Microsoft Fabric solutions. This role focuses on validating access and security, conducting integration testing, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring production readiness. The goal is to guarantee that all platform, data, and analytics components meet agreed-upon functional, technical, and operational criteria.

This is a senior consultant position demanding a deep understanding of quality assurance principles within modern data platforms.

Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases aligned with approved requirements. You will independently verify workspace access, role assignments, and security controls against the access matrix. The role involves executing integration tests across Fabric components, performing thorough data validation and reconciliation, and supporting UAT planning and execution.

Additional duties encompass validating deployment outcomes, testing negative scenarios and error handling, maintaining traceability between requirements and test results, capturing essential test evidence, and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve defects. You will also contribute to release-readiness reviews and communicate any residual risks.

A minimum of 5 years in IT, with at least 3 years dedicated to software testing, data testing, or quality assurance, is essential. Proven experience with cloud data platforms, ETL pipelines, data integrations, or analytics solutions is required. Strong SQL skills are crucial for data validation and backend testing.

Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Power BI), role-based access control, and security validation is expected. Experience in integration testing, UAT coordination, defect management, and regression testing is also vital. The ability to prepare structured test evidence, maintain traceability, and support formal release sign-offs is necessary. Familiarity with test management tools like Azure DevOps is preferred, alongside strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
