This role as a Data Engineer in Technology Assurance involves technical contributions to client engagements and internal projects, supporting senior team members, and identifying potential risks.

Design, architect, and implement data solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for efficient data processing and analysis of large, complex datasets. Develop and maintain SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) models, including tabular and multidimensional, to support advanced analytics and reporting. Create, deploy, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines with SSIS and SSAS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for data warehousing solutions. Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for creating interactive reports from various data sources. Leverage Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence, developing dashboards and reports for actionable insights. Apply strong understanding of data warehousing and modeling concepts to optimize data storage for both SQL and NoSQL databases. Evaluate and implement distributed storage, parallel processing, and advanced query techniques to enhance data performance. Recommend and build new data platforms and solutions, integrating with external data sources to meet business needs. Communicate findings, recommendations, and opportunities for data system improvements to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal audits, IT security, and business stakeholders, in client-facing roles to assess control effectiveness and facilitate remediation.

A minimum of 4 years of experience is required in designing and implementing end-to-end business solutions utilizing Big Data technologies and data engineering best practices. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI, with a proven ability to architect solutions based on business requirements. Proficiency with Logic Apps, complex stored procedures, and triggers, coupled with experience in managing SSIS event handlers and implementing audit/configuration logs. Competency in at least one data engineering programming language such as Python, SQL, R, or Scala; proficiency in multiple languages is preferred. Strong SQL knowledge for data manipulation and reporting, with the ability to generate insightful reports in Power BI and SSRS. Expertise in optimizing SQL queries for enhanced execution speed and efficiency. Preferred knowledge in data extraction, transformation, and developing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory/Synapse Analytics. A solid understanding of version control systems like Git and experience with JIRA for issue tracking and change management, along with familiarity with CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
