As a Data Engineer Advisor, you will design and implement sophisticated data solutions, from real-time streaming to comprehensive data lakes and analytics, adapting to evolving technical landscapes. You will provide expert recommendations on the most suitable technologies and solutions, covering the full stack from application to infrastructure. This involves proficient coding in Python, Java, and Scala to deploy robust, scalable, and secure solutions with efficient data integrations. You will also collaborate across diverse platforms like Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS, and present complex technical concepts clearly through detailed presentations and comprehensive documentation, including diagrams and system views, all while adhering to Agile methodologies. Designing, building, and deploying databases and data stores to meet organizational demands is also a key aspect of this role.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics projects. Essential to this role is over 2 years of experience leading teams in data-related projects, focusing on the development of end-to-end technical solutions.

Preferred qualifications include production experience with core data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure. Strong professional written and verbal communication skills are vital for conveying complex technical concepts effectively. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, queries, and transformations in Snowflake, along with Databricks notebooks or jobs, following established design patterns and metadata-driven frameworks. Experience implementing medallion-layered data structures and reusable components across various data products and domains is highly valued. Assistance with onboarding new data sources, mapping source data to target models, and applying data quality rules are also expected. Participation in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies is part of the collaborative process. An undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred.
