Join our team as a Fabric Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in establishing the foundation of our Microsoft Fabric platform. This role involves implementing and configuring the core components, ensuring a robust and operationally ready environment. You will translate architectural designs into a secure and reliable infrastructure, focusing on workspaces, OneLake, monitoring, and overall platform health.

Key responsibilities include provisioning and configuring Microsoft Fabric workspaces, capacities, and platform resources according to approved architecture.

You will implement detailed workspace structures, manage access permissions, define environment configurations, and enforce naming conventions. Additionally, you will configure OneLake shortcuts, essential platform connectivity, and integration settings.

Supporting Fabric tenant and workspace administration, including relevant configurations and access management, is crucial. The role also entails implementing comprehensive platform monitoring, operational dashboards, alerting systems, and health checks.

You'll monitor capacity utilization, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize resource allocation. Configuring and validating platform settings for various environments like development, testing, UAT, and production is also a key duty.

Developing routine operational scripts and automation for platform administration and repetitive tasks will streamline operations. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting platform configuration, connectivity, permission, and operational issues.

Maintaining platform runbooks, configuration records, operational procedures, and support documentation is essential. Collaboration with architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and QA engineers to ensure deployment and production readiness is expected.

We are seeking candidates with over 5 years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in cloud platform engineering, data platform administration, or a similar technical domain.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric workspace administration and platform configuration is required. A solid understanding of Fabric capacities, workspaces, OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and shortcuts is essential.

Experience with access control mechanisms, Microsoft Entra ID, workspace roles, and permissions is necessary. Familiarity with Azure services, networking, connectivity, and security fundamentals is also a must.

Proven experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and providing operational support for cloud platforms is needed. Working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for routine administration tasks is required.

An understanding of development and production environment separation, along with platform operational procedures, is important for this role.

Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Fabric or Azure certifications and experience supporting enterprise cloud data platforms.
