NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Data Engineer Advisor to join our innovative team in Chennai, India. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about growing with a forward-thinking, adaptable, and inclusive organization.

As an advisor, you will leverage deep technical expertise to architect and implement robust data solutions. You will be instrumental in building and optimizing data platforms, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

You will architect and provision the core Databricks ecosystem across multi-workspace environments, utilizing cloud-native services from AWS, Azure, or GCP. Establishing shared data structures and optimized storage strategies is key, employing formats like Delta Lake, Auto Loader, and Delta Live Tables (DLT).

Furthermore, you will implement cost-management strategies by configuring optimal cluster sizing, autoscaling, and serverless SQL warehouses to effectively balance performance with cloud expenditure.

Candidates must demonstrate mastery of the Databricks Ecosystem, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Photon engine, Serverless Compute, Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs), and Delta Live Tables (DLT).

Advanced proficiency in Python (PySpark), SQL, and standard shell scripting languages (Bash/PowerShell) is essential. Strong experience with infrastructure and DevOps tools such as Terraform, Git workflows, and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is required. Hands-on experience administering data infrastructure on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is mandatory. A complete understanding of Apache Spark core concepts, memory management, optimizations, and tuning is also critical.
