Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the global backbone of Amazon Web Services. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with software, hardware, and network engineers, along with supply chain and security specialists. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security, providing immense capacity at optimal cost, and fostering an environment where bold ideas are encouraged and brought to fruition.

As the primary operational resource for Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL), you will oversee the hands-on management of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) critical infrastructure across our Indian Data Centers. Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of Data Center operations, including event and incident management, problem resolution, change control, and cost management. You will also manage relationships with landlords, vendors, construction, operations teams, and other key stakeholders.

Key duties involve ownership of all Data Center changes, events, incidents, and problems, ensuring thorough investigation and root cause analysis. You will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance and repairs for electrical, mechanical, and fire suppression systems, alongside asset and inventory management. Developing and maintaining essential documentation, including method statements, SOPs, and emergency response plans, is crucial. Furthermore, you will create and deliver regular engineering reports, ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs, and provide hands-on facility support for equipment installations, decommissioning, and replacements.

We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least 4 years of relevant experience in data center or critical environment operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is essential.

Preferred qualifications include extensive experience (4+ years) in data center or mission-critical facilities, along with specialized knowledge of electrical systems (e.g., UPS, generators, SCADA) and mechanical systems (e.g., chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units). A strong understanding of best-in-class operating practices, technical writing, and automation skills are highly valued. This role requires 24x7 on-call availability, scheduled weekend support, and rotational shift work, reflecting the critical nature of data center operations.
