Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the global operations of AWS data centers. We ensure the continuous availability of the cloud by managing servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems. This role focuses on the critical operations and maintenance of Data Centers within India, supporting Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL).

You will be a key operational resource, applying broad data center knowledge and subject matter expertise to manage Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the reliability and efficiency of AWS’s expanding footprint in India.

Key responsibilities include owning data center changes, events, incidents, and problems from initiation to resolution. You will oversee the maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Suppression Systems. Responsibilities also cover Asset and Inventory Management, developing and maintaining essential documentation such as SOPs and emergency response procedures, and ensuring adherence to best-in-class operating practices.

Additional duties involve developing and delivering engineering reports, managing vendor and landlord relationships, and providing hands-on facility support for equipment installation, decommissioning, and audits. This role requires active participation in incident and emergency response, including managing information flow and recommending corrective actions.

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data center or critical environment operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.

Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facilities, along with an operating engineering license (e.g., DC II, DC III). Experience in operations and on-call support for data center facilities is also highly valued. This role necessitates 24x7 on-call availability, scheduled weekend work, and rotational shift support.
