As a Data Centre Operations Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for both internal and external customers, including hardware vendors and service providers. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining and improving data center infrastructure, including server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting. You will respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability, work to meet SLAs on trouble tickets, and perform on-call duties for scheduled maintenance and change management activities. Contributing to documentation through root cause analysis and participating in process improvement initiatives are also key aspects of this role. More experienced technicians will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members.

This role requires a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving within a ticket-based environment. You will perform systematic problem resolution and routine operational activities, including rack installation and server break/fix. Participation in 24x7 shift rotation and on-call duties is expected, as is maintaining site management and tidiness in operational areas. Adherence to health and safety guidelines is crucial, especially when working in confined or elevated spaces. A minimum of 2 years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, coupled with 1 year of computer networking experience, is necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is the educational requirement.
