Our Data Center Operations team focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer with a strong passion for technology to help elevate AWS Cloud offerings.

As a Data Centre Technician, you will be instrumental in maintaining and upgrading data center infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include server rack installation, hardware break-fix across various components, and troubleshooting network issues. You will also respond to emergent situations to ensure operational stability. This role involves acting as a primary contact for internal and external service partners, meeting SLAs for trouble tickets, and performing first-line hardware troubleshooting.

You will participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities. This includes monitoring data center infrastructure, contributing to team meetings for metric analysis, and achieving daily/weekly goals. You are expected to understand and apply department policies, including safety and security procedures, and contribute to root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives. More experienced technicians may also assist in training junior team members. This role requires participation in a 24x7 shift rotation.

To excel in this role, a solid understanding of server hardware and components is essential. Proficiency in fiber optic and copper cabling standards, along with familiarity with testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies, is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in data center operations is necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience working in a colocation data center facility, hands-on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, and a background in networking.
