AWS is rapidly expanding, and we are seeking motivated individuals to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining the world's largest computing infrastructure, involving system repairs, issue resolution, parts management, and general data center upkeep. Your work will directly impact technological advancements in the region.

As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers, tackling diverse daily challenges. Key responsibilities include:

- Troubleshooting advanced hardware issues for servers, storage, and networking equipment on a 24/7 basis. - Maintaining high levels of system reliability and availability. - Contributing to projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies and sharing knowledge with a global network of technical experts. - Training less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues. - Assisting in the Amazon hiring process by participating in candidate interviews to help build a strong team.

We are looking for individuals with a strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your day-to-day activities will involve:

- Installing and configuring data center servers and network systems. - Performing installations, troubleshooting, and replacements of internal and external hardware components for servers and network devices. - Working within a ticket-based system to systematically resolve issues. - Adhering to rotational shift schedules to ensure consistent system reliability. - Collaborating with internal teams, sharing innovative ideas, and contributing to projects that improve the data center work environment and overall efficiencies.

This role is physically active and requires constant movement within the data center environment. We require a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with at least two years of experience in data center operations, critical environments, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, or network deployment. Experience with customer interactions during problem resolution and efficient operation under pressure is highly valued, as is experience managing priorities through a ticketing system.
