As a Data Centre Operation Technician, you will be integral to the Operations team, ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure. Your duties will encompass server rack installation, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, and responding to critical operational incidents. You will act as a key contact for internal teams and external partners, managing trouble tickets to meet SLAs and performing first-line hardware troubleshooting.

This role requires participation in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities. You will contribute to metric analysis in team meetings and document technical issues through root cause analysis. More experienced technicians may mentor newer team members. Tasks may involve working in compact spaces, and the role operates on a 24x7 shift rotation.

To excel in this role, you should possess at least 2 years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, coupled with 1+ year of computer networking experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, experience in a colocation data center, and additional experience in hardware repair, cabling, network deployment, or data center operations.
