Amazon Web Services is expanding its Infrastructure Operations team and seeks a Data Center Technician. Our team designs, installs, and maintains the world's largest computing infrastructure, handling system issues, repairs, parts management, and general data center maintenance. You will contribute to transforming technology in the region from our large-scale, high-density data centers.
As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you will be the main point of contact for internal customers, addressing diverse daily challenges.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices 24/7, and maintaining high levels of system reliability and availability.
You will actively participate in projects to boost operational efficiency, sharing your knowledge with a global network of technical experts. Additionally, you will help train less technical staff on best practices and contribute to building a strong team through involvement in the Amazon hiring process.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve installing and configuring data center servers and network systems. You will also perform installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of internal and external hardware for servers and network devices.
Work will be managed within a ticket-based system, focusing on systematic problem resolution. The role requires working on a rotational shift schedule to ensure high system reliability.
You will collaborate with internal teams, share innovative ideas, and contribute to projects that enhance the data center work environment and overall efficiencies. This is a physically active role requiring constant movement onsite.
