As a Data Center Technician, you will be a key point of contact for internal customers, with each day bringing new and exciting challenges.

Your primary responsibilities will include: - Troubleshooting advanced hardware issues for servers, storage, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis. - Maintaining high levels of system reliability and availability. - Participating in projects to improve operational efficiencies and sharing knowledge with a global network of technical experts. - Assisting in the training of less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues. - Contributing to team building through involvement in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.

A day in the life of a Data Center Operations Engineer involves: - Installing and configuring data center servers and network systems. - Performing installations, troubleshooting, and replacements of internal and external hardware components for servers and network devices. - Working effectively within a ticket-based system to resolve issues systematically. - Adhering to a rotational shift schedule to ensure continuous system reliability. - Collaborating with internal teams, sharing innovative ideas to enhance the data center work environment and overall efficiencies.

This is a physically demanding role requiring constant movement within the onsite data center.
