Join our dynamic team as a Data Center Technician, playing a crucial role in the effective delivery of technical support and installations within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenters. This position involves hands-on break-fix tasks, including hardware, network, and cabling deployments, alongside site planning and problem escalation.

You will be instrumental in managing installations and ensuring the smooth operation of our OCI datacenter environments. Prioritizing ticketing queues and resolving escalations are key to maintaining continuous technician activities in alignment with internal policies and service level agreements. The role requires participation in shift rotations to provide essential 24x7 site coverage for our Oracle OCI datacenter locations.

Engage in problem-solving with guidance, applying company policies and procedures to daily tasks. You will be responsible for hardware maintenance, implementing repairs for common failure modes in servers and network equipment.

A fundamental understanding of operating systems, hardware, network fundamentals, and diagnosis is essential. Additionally, a basic grasp of datacenter design principles, including electrical and cooling systems, is required. The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, evaluating issues and taking appropriate action, is paramount.

Solid knowledge of datacenter design, electrical, and cooling plant operations is a key aspect of this role. You'll also leverage a strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and network concepts for repair and diagnosis. Prioritizing work based on severity and providing feedback within defined processes will be integral to your success. Proficiency in spoken English is necessary.

This role is designed for an Individual Contributor (IC1) with a foundational understanding of Data Center Operations. While prior experience is not strictly mandatory, candidates with 0 to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
