As a Data Centre Operations Technician, you will be the primary technical point of contact, addressing a wide range of challenges daily. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis, and maintaining exceptional system reliability and availability.

You will actively participate in projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies, sharing your expertise with a global network of technical professionals. Training less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues is also a key component. Furthermore, you will contribute to building a strong team by engaging in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.

Daily activities involve the installation and configuration of data center servers and network systems. You will also perform installation, troubleshooting, and replacement of internal and external hardware for servers and network devices.

Work will be managed within a ticket-based system for systematic problem resolution. This role requires working on a rotational, shift-based schedule to ensure continuous high system reliability. Collaboration with internal teams to share ideas and contribute to innovative projects improving the data center work environment and overall efficiency is essential. Please note, this is a physically active role requiring constant movement onsite.
