As a Data Centre Operations Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for internal customers, tackling diverse daily challenges. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues for servers, storage, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis, and maintaining high levels of system reliability and availability.
You will actively participate in projects to boost operational efficiencies, sharing your experiences with a global network of technical experts. Additionally, you'll help train less technical staff on best practices and contribute to building a strong team through involvement in the Amazon hiring process.
This physically active role requires the installation and configuration of data center servers and network systems. You will be involved in installing, troubleshooting, and replacing internal and external hardware for servers and network devices within a ticket-based system for systematic problem resolution.
Work involves a rotational shift schedule to ensure high system reliability. You will collaborate with internal teams, sharing ideas and contributing to innovative projects that enhance the data center work environment and overall efficiencies. Basic qualifications include over 1 year of computer networking experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field like Information Technology or Computer Science.
