As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you will be the main point of contact for internal customers, tackling diverse daily challenges. Your key responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices 24/7, maintaining high system reliability and availability, and participating in projects to boost operational efficiencies.

You will also share your expertise to train less technical staff on best practices and contribute to building a strong team by participating in the Amazon hiring process. Your day-to-day work involves installations and configurations of data center servers and network systems, troubleshooting and replacing hardware, and working systematically through a ticket-based system.

We are seeking individuals with at least one year of computer networking experience and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates should be comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces while adhering to safety guidelines and possess the ability to manage priorities effectively within a ticketing system.

Preferred qualifications include experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and hands-on experience in a data center environment, such as racking and stacking equipment, cable management, and hot/cold aisle containment. Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure is also highly valued.
