As a Data Centre Operations Technician, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers, addressing diverse daily challenges. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices 24/7, and ensuring high system reliability and availability.
You will actively participate in projects to boost operational efficiencies, sharing knowledge with a global network of technical experts. Additionally, you'll help train less technical staff on best practices and contribute to building a strong team by participating in the Amazon hiring process.
To excel in this role, you will need at least one year of experience in computer networking and hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. While not strictly required, experience in cramped or elevated spaces, effective customer interaction during problem resolution, managing priorities via ticketing systems, and familiarity with cabling infrastructure best practices are highly valued.
Additional preferred qualifications include hands-on experience in a data center environment, such as racking and stacking equipment, cable management, and understanding hot/cold aisle containment. This is a physically active position requiring you to be mobile onsite.
