As a Data Centre Operations Tech, you will be the primary point of contact for internal customers, addressing technical challenges that arise daily.
Key responsibilities include: - Troubleshooting advanced hardware issues across servers, storage, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis. - Maintaining a high level of system reliability and availability. - Participating in projects to improve operational efficiency and sharing expertise with a global network. - Training less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues. - Contributing to team growth through involvement in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with at least two years of experience in data center operations, critical environments, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, or network deployment.
Strong experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair is essential. We also value candidates who can effectively manage work and priorities using ticketing systems.
Preferred qualifications include experience in customer-facing problem resolution, operating under pressure, and hands-on data center tasks such as racking and stacking equipment, cable management, and understanding hot/cold aisle containment.
