As a Data Center Operations Tech, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers, addressing diverse daily challenges. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices 24/7, and maintaining high levels of system reliability and availability.
You will actively participate in projects to improve operational efficiencies, sharing your expertise with a global network of technical professionals. This role also involves training less technical staff on best practices for service owner issues and contributing to team building through involvement in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Essential qualifications include demonstrable experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Preferred experience encompasses effectively handling customer interactions during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure. Familiarity with managing work and priorities through a ticketing system is beneficial. Experience in a data center environment, including tasks like racking and stacking gear, cable management, and understanding hot/cold aisle containment, is highly valued.
