Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the backbone of the global cloud, and play a crucial role in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of our vast data center infrastructure. We are seeking a dynamic Data Center Manager to lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence for Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL).

This is an opportunity to manage and innovate within the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure. You'll tackle complex technical challenges daily, contributing to the seamless operation of our data centers and ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and cost-efficiency for our customers.

We foster an inclusive culture that values bold ideas and empowers individuals to take ownership. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, specialists, and managers, all dedicated to keeping the cloud running and enabling customer innovation.

Responsibilities

As a Data Center Manager, you will be instrumental in leading and developing engineering teams, providing both technical and leadership guidance to ensure peak performance. Your role will involve maintaining existing data centers, supporting the build-out of new facilities, and continuously refining our processes and procedures for optimal efficiency.

You will manage crucial relationships with external vendors and contractors, while also liaising effectively with internal teams and management. A key focus will be ensuring adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards across all data centers. You will also create and utilize metrics to drive positive changes and assist in implementing service methodologies like incident, problem, and change management.

Qualifications

You should demonstrate the ability to enhance team performance, build successful teams, and manage both high and low-performing employees, along with conflict resolution skills.

Significant experience in incident management, particularly with high-severity situations and understanding wider implications, is essential. Experience in change and fault management is also required. You must possess proven vendor management capabilities, including problem and conflict resolution with external parties.

A clear aptitude for process improvement, including process mapping and implementing remediation steps, is vital. Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma concepts is preferable. A strong commitment to Health & Safety and the ability to positively influence safety culture are paramount.
